Arun graduated with honours from Kings College, London. After spending a year in general practice, he progressed to work as a Senior House Officer in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. This was based at Broomfield, St.Johns, Essex County and Colchester General Hospitals. He obtained his membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons (England) in 2009, and then in 2011 completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Restorative Dentistry with the Eastman Dental Institute.
Arun's approach to keeping dentistry as painless as possible has proved very popular in Great Baddow. He enjoys working with patients to help them achieve healthy mouths, as well as addressing any aspects of their teeth, ability to chew, or improving their smile.

DR. VANITA SHARMA

Vanita graduated from Guy’s, King’s & St. Thomas’ Dental Institute in 2004, after which she continued her vocational training in Essex. In 2006, she gained membership to the Faculty of General Dental Practice.
Vanita enjoys providing a range of dental care in a calm and relaxing manner, aiming to put patients at ease. She finds it rewarding to go on a journey together with her patients, and witness an improvement in their oral care.
As a parent of 3 children, she is compassionate to the challenges faced by new parents, and is always happy to talk to anyone in need of advice. With her friendly and enthusiastic nature, she will put any patient at ease.

A dedicated and approachable professional, Simran brings a wealth of both Private & NHS experience to Baddow Dental. Having practiced dentistry in Australia for four years, he returned to the UK to establish roots and continue honing his profession. With a knack for building rapport through humour and a compassionate demeanor, Simran prioritises patient comfort while delivering comprehensive care. He thrives on collaborating with patients to achieve optimal oral health and is always eager to continue his professional development by exploring the latest advancements in the field. Simran looks forward to making a positive impact on the smiles of Great Baddow. Outside of dentistry, Simran enjoys spending time with his young children and has a keen interest in photography & videography.

Zahra graduated from the University of Manchester achieving her BDS with honours in 2009. Since then she has worked in a range of both private and NHS Practices, committed to offering high quality dental care and treatment.
Zahra has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry and smile design, qualified with SmileFast and more recently completed the Aspire aesthetic and restorative dental course.
She has very friendly and approachable nature with lots of experience in managing anxious patients and children.

DR. PHILLIPA HENSHAW

Purnima graduated as a Dentist in 1997. She worked in general dental practice and other dental fields before embarking her specialist orthodontic training. She gained the Intercollegiate Speciality Fellowship in Orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2010 to gain Consultant status. She was a Consultant in Orthodontics at Worcester Royal Hospital, before she became a Consultant at Broomfield Hospital, and Southend University Hospitals .
Purnima is also an examiner for the Membership of the Joint Dental Faculty (MJDF) at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. She is a trainer for postgraduate dentists undertaking specialist training in Orthodontics. She has also published research articles, presented papers and posters at a number of regional, national and international meetings.
She lives in Essex with her husband and young children.

Pippa qualified from the prestigious Barts’ and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry. She has worked in both NHS and private practices since.
Outstanding in the treatment of anxious patients and children, she is commended for her professional, friendly and approachable nature.
Pippa is interested in all aspects of general dentistry, from restoring tooth health and function, to improving patients’ smiles with aesthetic treatments such as tooth whitening.
Pippa also has a keen interest in facial aesthetics and is confident providing facial rejuvenation treatments, such as those for lines and wrinkles.

Dental Hygienist & Therapist
Louise qualified as a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist in 2008 from King's College, London and joined us in 2018. She's been very well received by patients since her appointment. Louise has really helped show the value in teaching patients to care for their own teeth better, and promoting excellent oral health.
Louise also spends her time as a clinical educator for the Oral Health Science course at the University of Essex.

Kirsty qualified as a dental hygienist and therapist in 2008 from Kings College, London and has been very popular with patients in Baddow who frequently praise her for being both gentle and thorough.
